The last time Lake County Democrats tried to ram the Lake County income tax down taxpayers' throats, they did so with the vote of a convicted felon councilman who was going to be removed from office upon sentencing. It was despicable.

This time, Lake County Democrats are trying to ram the Lake County income tax down taxpayers' throats with the vote of Democrat Councilman Dave Hamm, who was not elected to the office. He was appointed by the Democrat Party to the position.

Hamm says he isn't running for office again, either. Thus this Lake County income tax is completely un-democratic (small d). It’s despicable.

The only ethical way for this tax to be passed is for Dave Hamm to refrain from voting on it. Unless it can pass without Hamm, it is an undemocratic tax.
