I, too, would like to see the vision for downtown Hammond realized. However, the City Council's recent ordinance regarding parking runs counter to that vision and might undermine future business interest.

The handling of AquaVor's concerns and the concerns of the city represent a business opportunity to establish new revenue (i.e. parking fees, etc.) while demonstrating to perspective investors a business-friendly climate that promotes Hammond's downtown.
