I am writing about William Nangle's July 28 column about Northwest Indiana's roads. I am one of those "NIMBY's" he referred to.

I am against the Main Street extension because it will affect my way of life, along with others. Maybe you would not be bothered by the fact of a four-lane road with a minimum speed limit of 45 mph right next to your house or the talk of removing your house all together?

Do you know all the facts about the Main Street extension? Have you even asked anybody about why signs are up about stopping Main Street extension? Or better yet the people who put them up, and why they are putting them up?
