I grew up here in Valpo. I raised my family here. For 40 years, my business, Coolman Communities Inc., has helped contribute to the community by creating neighborhoods that are good places to live.

So when I was asked to be part of the ValpoNext Steering Committee, to help develop a vision for Valpo’s future, I didn't really have a choice. This has been my home, (a great home), for most of my life, and I want others to be able to have that same experience.

Now you have the chance to be part of the process of envisioning Valpo’s future. Plan on being at one of the Big Idea Workshops on Feb. 24, 25 or 26.

Go to for details about how you can be involved in Valpo’s future.
