Highland school officials should slow restructuring plans
As a parent of a Highland student who will be directly effected by this proposed restructuring, I have questions. Questions that I have not been allowed to ask.
I attended the recent School Board meeting, and all it seemed to be was a cheerleading session for doing this and doing it now. Any question that was construed as against the restructuring was met with harsh comments described as "parental emotion." Not the case at all.
I am not totally against this change. I am against the rush, against the biased committee consisting of mostly of School Town of Highland employees, and against no parental input being allowed.
There is no plan in place for transition and not a lot of time to complete physical changes that need to be made. More time needs to be taken to put a plan in place, or our children will suffer. This is not right.
