The Indiana House District 12 incumbent states that using “existing resources and best practices in our schools” will “better prepare the next generation for success.”

Doesn’t she know that Munster and all the other surrounding school systems are below their 2008 funding levels? That Republicans are working hard to correct the unfair funding formula that favors her party’s big cities? Out of 357 Hoosier school systems Munster ranks 348 in per capita tuition support. Meanwhile, Highland is 289 and Griffith is only 241.

Education funding impacts our teachers, class size and the quality of education our students receive. This is unfair and needs to be corrected immediately. The people of HD-12 don’t need a state representative who thinks our children should settle for less.

District 12 needs a pro-education representative, and I need your vote this November to make this right.
