How sad that holiday spirit lasts such short time

We all gathered with family, shared food, fun, presents, around the Thanksgiving and Christmas table. We showed love, sharing, caring, sang songs about family, giving, the baby Jesus, the little drummer boy, Santa Claus, giving thanks around ham and turkey.

And now a month later?

The self-centered store owners are counting their money.

The decorations and the tree are down.

We are back to our grumpy ways, stressful and angry lives.

Only caring about ourselves like always, crime returns again. Even with the snow, people drive like idiots, have no patience.

Road rage is becoming violent.

We lost our smile, our holiday attitude. We ignore the persons who cross our daily path.

The spirit of Thanksgiving and Christmas is long forgotten.

It is a sad commentary on the human race, that this holiday spirit is only good for two months.
