I wholeheartedly agree with Amy Wilson's letter. All our esteemed Lake County Council members default to is raising taxes, not cutting the waste and fraud in government.

If the only response our elected officials have to a financial problem is to raise taxes, we can create a Lake County Council of Apes and get a similar response at a fraction of what we pay our elected officials. Now we have freed up some money!

Why look for creative ways to cut the cost of government; that would require thought! And if our elected officials say they have cut waste and fraud to the bone, I have a bridge to sell Lake County.

When you finally take 100 percent of what the taxpayers have, what will the county do then?
