I was born in 1925 and still glad to be alive. Rode in the Model "A" and "T," DeSoto, LaSalle and Packard, too.
Saw TV on a 9-inch screen and have seen it grow to a big-as-life screen.
They talk of telephones, where you could talk and see, and lo and behold, welcome to the 21st century.
Lived through Presidents Hoover and Roosevelt and quite a few after them.
Served in World War II and the Korean War, too. Empire State building and Sears Tower too. Now there is no limit to height in the sky. Super highways with cloverleafs all over the place. Saw them build the Nine-Span over the railroad tracks and lived to see a new span taking its place. Lived to 87 and not ready for heaven.
I've seen and done a lot of things throughout the years. And for all of its faults, thank God for the USA.
