I wouldn't expect others to pay for my kid's laptop

For Porter County to pay for school laptops is ridiculous.

If your school can afford laptops, then it’s a good idea for students to have usage of the Internet. Learning is more fun, and people will be more interested to learn. If a less fortunate school cannot afford laptops, they should not complain to the government about how they deserve them.

All students should have access to the Internet, but when it comes down to it we are paying for laptops for complete strangers to use. I think it’s absurd.

If my kid’s school couldn't afford laptops, I would take the initiative and get my kid one. I wouldn't go out of my way to let the county know that other people need to be paying for my kid's laptop.
