Illiana project could be great benefit to Lowell

The Illiana Expressway (tollway) project is emotional to residents for multiple reasons.

As a resident due to be directly affected by the project, I point out that Lowell can benefit greatly from this new route. In addition to the new jobs and growth, anyone who has an interest in the "Lowell of the future" would certainly see the benefit of removing heavy truck traffic from Ind. 2.

Lowell can still embrace its small town heritage and revitalize itself with proper infrastructure that must be included with the tollway construction project.
