After reading the on illegal immigration, my weak brain was stirred to get a map out of the USA and Central America, and I know understand the laughter to Homeland Security chief Janet Napolitano's statement.

After some time looking at the four borders of the USA and the four borders of Central America, it became obvious that securing 1/10th of these borders would bankrupt any government that tried to do it!

The vacant and uninhabited areas around these borders are so vast and remote even super security systems could not cover the entire border areas, plus the human factor comes into play. Tunnels will be dug, jamming devices will be invented, research will done to outmaneuver satellites, and of course the personal desire to enter the country.

Programs to secure the border have been tried & failed. Prohibition and the war on drugs all ended up in failure, which led to repeal or a process of revaluation by many citizens as well as lawmakers!

Another factor is the interest of certain factions of our society that lose financially as well as losing a cheap source of labor!

The film points out the problem, but does it offer a solution?
