In our budgets, expenses couldn't exceed income

The government keeps talking about needing a budget. They want to spend more money that we don't have.

When I was in school during the Dark Ages, teachers had us make a household budget. I think most people can remember doing this in school.

Funny thing though, those crazy teachers wanted us to make a budget that only accounted for the same amount of money we took in.

Where did these politicians learn to make a budget that spends all they want without balancing it with their income? Must be some kind of new math.
