It's high time government employees pay fair share

Reading that Hammond employees pay only $12.50 to $25 biweekly for health insurance for the family plan makes me sick. Why is it that government employees get such great benefits while the rest of us have to pay out the wazoo to keep our families covered?

I pay four times that weekly to keep just my wife and myself covered. It's high time they start paying their fair share. We as taxpayers should be disgusted by the benefits given out while the rest of us suffer!

I'll bet you could trim $30 million, if not more, off the budget by just raising the insurance premiums to fair level and cutting back on pensions. What's good for the goose should be good for government too!
