Rich James laments there is downstate dislike for Lake County and quips it might be because of our proximity to Chicago, or envy of our shoreline, or because of our Slavic residents.

This buffoon failed to mention a couple of Lake County’s more notable assets. Those would be 1) we’re awash in political corruption and 2) we squander taxpayer money in galactic proportions.

I suspect what actually galls the downstate pols is the display of keeping Lake County malfeasance intact by re-electing the same politicians from the same political party who get the same endorsements from the same labor unions and from the same print media (hence, the same results).
