James should show more reverence to others

Does Rich James live in the current century? Reading his Jan. 26 commentary incensed me regarding his lack of respect for the opinions of others and for his put-down of Sen. Tomes of downstate Indiana.

Is James insinuating that people from towns that are a blip on the radar don't have the right to promote their beliefs or come up with valid solutions?

It seems to me a little more "Wild West " might be just the thing in our gang- and gangster-infested towns up north, where it's business as usual no matter what the people want.

Though I am not a Tea Party member, I respect their views. And God knows a little fear of God might be just the thing for people like James.

Irreverence for others is a deadly weapon, too. Power to the NRA.
