Technology allows outlets to the Internet, cable news, PBS, Sunday and weeknight political programming. Boring falsehoods, favorable spins, dominate by design?

Maybe politicos count on our apathetic past. Emails, phone calls, and town hall participation is a must. Voter turnout will send our message that we are better informed and concerned. We must get our leverage back.

Democracy has been fruitful for all in one way or another. Hard work, common goals, and unity by progressive and conservative partners have been rewarded. Spinning negative ideas has divided and splintered our economic standard of living for way too many citizens, through no fault of their own.

Turning a blind eye to more involvement only lends to more mistakes and greed by the 1 percent powermongers. Repeating the same policies and expecting different results is ludicrous.

Join us at our Occupy meeting at 2 p.m. Saturday at Thomas Library in Chesterton.
