Kyle stopped stranger's theft of my cell phone

February 02, 2012 12:00 am

A young Munster man named Kyle went to a lot of trouble to help a stranger when he found my cellphone.

On Jan.19, Kyle saw another man pick up a cellphone in a parking lot. Kyle suggested the phone be reported missing or he would call the police himself. The other man refused and shoved Kyle in the chest before throwing the phone at Kyle and running away.

When I came home, there were several messages on the land line phone, including my daughter in California and my cousin in New Orleans, saying, "Someone named Kyle found your phone." Not only did Kyle brave the threats of a would-be thief, but he also then proceeded to call the numbers on my phone contact list to try to find me.

Let's be very grateful for the Kyles of this world. Honest and brave, too!
