I was going to write in before questioning how the state came up with a figure of 1 percent for the income tax, since other counties have a lower rate.

Leave it up to Lake County to match it and add 50 percent more.

I was looking to retire in Lake County, when downsizing for retirement. Porter County is looking better and better since it's a stone's throw away.
