At the Wanatah Town Council's July meeting, officials from Commonwealth Engineering presented a proposal as to what Wanatah needs to do to address our water problems. This is not a pretty picture.
The last water improvement we did, not that long ago, did not address our problem, but it did give our two superintendents, in a town of under 1,100, a state-of-the-art, award-winning, automated pump house. We were told then that they were having problems back-flushing our water lines and this new well and pump house would solve our problems. It did not.
When was the last time any resident has seen water being discharged from the fire hydrant that serves your area?
The board also passed the first two readings of the salary ordinance. Yes, more raises.
