Leave God out of politics, schools, newspapers

I get very tired of hearing the far right wing say, "We need to bring God back into our country." They also say we as a country are being punished because our country is getting further away from God. Blah, blah, blah.

Did you know it was not until the 1950s that "In God We Trust" was first printed on our money, as was "Under God" included in our Pledge of Allegiance? The right wing and Christians in general are so quick to give Him credit for all the good, but when something bad happens, well, that is on us.

If He is all-powerful, all-knowing and everywhere, as taught by Christian doctrine, why can't He cure a a completely innocent child's cancer? What possible purpose does that serve the supreme Creator in His master plan that the child suffer?

Leave God out of politics and schools and the newspapers. He can't cure a 3-year-old child's cancer; I doubt he can help this country.
