My wife and I have had trouble getting Medicare to fix its erroneous records and process our medical bills correctly. Each of us has Medicare as a primary insurer and a Medicare supplement policy as a secondary  insurer. But false Medicare records showed us as having other primary insurance.

Several times I or we have phoned Medicare to get them to correct the records. Each time, we have been told that the problem is fixed. But, when our doctors and hospital resubmit the claims, Medicare continues to respond that we have other primary insurance. In my wife's case, it means Medicare is almost two years behind in updating my wife's information.

We are taking this matter to U.S. Rep. Pete Visclosky for help. A knowledgeable friend who helps senior citizens with Medicare problems complimented me for doing everything I could do correctly.

I encourage other seniors to alert the congressman there really are problems with Medicare.
