I couldn't agree more with John Decoster of Valparaiso on electing Glenda Ritz as governor. Where is my sign?
As I've said many times, it's about what is best for our children and not for politicians. A column by Denise DeClue in The Times' Prime section is another example of huge mistakes made by the Indiana Legislature about the direction of education.
Tony Bennett said let's get rid of cursive writing; we don't use it anyway. How many people reading this article do not know the meaning of the word "cursive"?
If we do not start educating our children the right way, one of these days their computer, iPhone or iPad is not going to work.
This country's history is trying to repeat itself. Keep them uneducated, unable to read or write, then it's trust me, make your mark right here on the paper. Get the drift?
The first step to correct this problem is to elect Ritz as our governor. Get on board, parents, and let's get this train moving.
