With just a few weeks to complete income tax returns before the April 15 deadline, there is only a very incomplete selection of tax forms and instructions at area libraries. I cannot even find the most basic 1040 instruction book. I have sampled Munster, Schererville and Lansing without success.

With the USA $17 trillion in debt, one would think the government would want everyone's taxes resolved as soon as possible.

I remember the days when the tax forms were mailed to the house. The libraries all have signs up saying this is all they have and don't know when the forms will arrive.

U.S. Rep. Pete Visclosky, how about some help?
