I’m not saying that the proposed Peotone airport is cursed, but U.S. Rep. Mel Reynolds bragged that he would build the airport. He went to the penitentiary.

Illinois Gov. George Ryan initiated land purchases for the unapproved project. He went to the penitentiary.

Gov. Rod Blagojevich ordered the demolition of houses at the airport site. He went to the penitentiary.

U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. developed a personal obsession with building the airport. He seems to be on his way to the penitentiary.

Will Jackson’s replacement, U.S. Rep. Robin Kelly, take the bait?
