Lugar is not acting like a conservative Hoosier
U.S. Sen. Dick Lugar has not lived in Indiana since the late 1970s. He is allowed to vote and have a driver's license in Indiana because of a loophole in the Indiana law.
It is well known in political circles that our senator lives in Virginia but represents Indiana residents. When Sen. Dan Coats was running for senator, he had to get an apartment in Indiana. Also our secretary of state was convicted for living outside his district. Meanwhile, our long-time senator has been living outside the state for 30 years.
Also, Lugar represents himself as a Tea Party supporter. This is not reflected in his support of the Democratic presidency and the way he votes.
Republican voters, be advised that Lugar is not representing us. He has had a long career in the Senate. It is time for him to retire.
