A big issue in schools now is whether to allow technology in class for learning and recreational purposes.
As a high school student, seeing all the advancements in technology these days, I believe technology can help us learn better. No student wants to sit in a classroom and listen to a teacher talk and talk. We get bored of that.
Introducing technology in the school keeps the students interested. Sure, some schools think it’s too expensive, but more than half the books we use now can be found online. The schools should charge us for the purchase of an iPad or a tablet that we can use in class instead of books.
Not only will this keep students interested, but that’s also less paper we will use. Everything these days revolves around the environment, so why not increase student activity and help the environment?
Schools around the state have slowly realized the efficiency of technology in the school. We should make it a state requirement to use technology in school. If it works for one school, it should work for every school.
