Are you getting ready for Christmas? Are you busily baking and shopping, decorating and wrapping, texting and surfing the Internet? It’s so easy to get caught up in the festivities and activities of modern life that we can forget the real reason for the season.

When Jesus was born, Mary "wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.” (Luke 2:7) Is there room in our hearts for Him now?

A well known Christmas carol calls us to sing, "Joy to the world, the Lord is come! Let earth receive her King; Let every heart prepare Him room…"

‘Tis the season to put down the iPad and the iPhone, the gift wrap and the cookie dough and make room in our hearts for the greatest gift ever.

“For God so loved the world, (a) that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
