Having served on the Lake Central School Board for 16 years, I am very aware of all the qualifications and time needed to be not only a responsible board member, but one whose main focus is what is best for the 10,000 children and staff of the school district.

I am aware that staff morale is at its lowest in years. Perception of threats of job loss loom over their heads to maintain control. Promises made to the elementary have been tossed aside.

Someone must be willing to stand up for all the students, staff and parents. I believe Janice Malchow is that person.

I implore those who are able to vote, to do so and to cast your vote for Janice. There must be a voice on the board that represents all students and will listen to concerns of the people who elected them before action is taken.

There must be someone who will be accountable for his or her decisions and actions. Malchow is that person.

I ask you to support her with your vote on Tuesday, November 6th.
