Sometimes when people say something incorrect they are ignorant or misinformed. When Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel talks about education, he's lying.

During the campaign for mayor, Emanuel said, “When you take out North Side and you take out Walter Payton, the seven best performing high schools are all charter schools.” After those top two high schools, the next best schools at that time were Whitney Young, Jones, Lane Tech, Gwendolyn Brooks and Lincoln Park. None of them are charter schools.

On April 29, Emanuel claimed Chicago Public Schools will attain 100 percent graduation by shifting to more charter schools.

In February, CPS's data showed charter schools expel students at 12 times the rate of traditional CPS schools.

Expelling students and graduating 100 percent of students are incompatible.

Rahm Emanuel lacks honor. For the good of Chicago, he should be replaced.
