Mayor Tom McDermott Jr. of Hammond is starting to behave like Tom Philpot after he already had “done his thing.” Philpot, being the sport that he is, paid the money back.

McDermott has his “rubber stamp” Hammond City Council pass an ordinance that “86’d” renting Dumpsters with casino funds.

The horse is already out the barn and gone miles down the road, and now they wanna throw the baby out with the bathwater. How could you allow Councilman Al Salinas II in the 2nd District to spend $77,511* on Dumpsters. One price for the Dumpsters was $400 a pop.

The Indiana Gaming Commission is investigating money spent on Dumpsters by Hammond city councilmen in 2011.

Hammond Councilmen Homero "Chico" Hinojosa, Anthony Higgs and Bob Markovich are not rubber stamps for McDermott.

- Ricardo (Streetwise) Moreno, East Chicago
