Beware. The cutbacks are here.

When they passed Obamacare, they said it would be partially funded by cutbacks in Medicare spending, but they would not say what was to be cut. Now we are finding out — medicine in the ER cut back.

My husband, who is on medicare, cut his eye trimming trees. It was very painful, and we went to the ER. The doctor numbed his eye with drops, stained it to see the cuts and put antibiotic ointment in to prevent infection.

Two months later, we received the bill. Numbing drops covered, doctor bill covered, stain covered, antibiotic ointment not covered.

"Self-administered medicine in the ER" is not covered, so we have to pay the bill out of pocket -- $97. People will be paying higher premiums, deductibles, co-pays and there are now many "non-covered charges" and monthly penalties.

Read your " Medicare and You 2014" booklet and be shocked.
