Motorists should slow down for horses along Steger Road

This is just a short note, as I would like to make the drivers of vehicles traveling Steger Road — west of Sheffield/Hart Street and east of Ill. 394 — aware of the fact that there are three boarding/riding stables along that route.

There are signs clearly marking that there is a horse crossing, and still people continue to speed through. This is particularly a problem on Saturdays and Sundays with the large volume of traffic because of the location of Faith Church.

There are also many hills, which make visibility of any great distance poor. So speed can become an issue very quickly.

We all would like a safe and happy summer for everyone, including our horses. Thank you!
