NRA represents gun makers, not owners like me

I have a permit to carry a handgun and do so. I can hit what I aim at and don't need 39 more bullets in case I miss. Nine more would suffice unless 39 more rabbits attacked me at once.

I was set to join the NRA years ago until I realized they were just Republicans lobbying for the gun companies on my dime, not me.

Guns are a necessary evil and good for what they're good at if you use them for what they were intended. But that was then and this is now. Yet their tactics are still the same.

They boycott all reasonable legislation to satisfy gun extremists and the rich 1 percent they serve, not you -- the eventual victims. Like spoiled children who don't get  their way, they need armor-piercing bullets and hollow points to protect themselves and don't care how many are innocently murdered in the process.

No law can stop a madman, but unless Main Street speaks out against this insanity nothing will ever change and more will needlessly die from the indifference.
