After a boxing scholarship at Wisconsin University and Army service, I spent 20 years with the Gary Police Department followed by 29 more in federal law enforcement with the U.S. State Department and then Homeland Security.
I traveled the world and was the advance security for Nelson Mandela's trip to Detroit and had the honor of being present at the Vatican when a secretary of state met with Pope John Paul I.
I worked with military and police officers throughout the world and can repeat that Northwest Indiana has some of the most dedicated officers the public can expect.
Now that I am retiring, I want to thank all who helped me along the way.
God bless America and all who serve.
