Obamacare is better for me than voucher system

Last month, I received a free mammogram under Obamacare. It was a follow-up after the first one showed a lump. This one showed two additional ones. The biopsy showed no cancer, but I’ll get a lumpectomy to remove one that could be dangerous.

I’m receiving all of this care to prevent cancer. Prevention is the basis of Obamacare. Many tests are free.

I now pay $115 for Medicare and almost $200 for the 20 percent of costs a supplemental policy pays.

Under the Romney/Ryan plan, Medicare goes away and I’ll get a $5,000 voucher.

Following what I already pay, I’ll need to pay an additional $800 a month to get 100 percent coverage. That means the voucher will last only five months. Then I’m on my own.

Now I see where economists say it will cost seniors an additional $6,400 a year. I want Obamacare. Not that health insurance industry ripoff.
