Recently, a letter appeared from a young woman wondering whether she should enroll in Obamacare or use the money to pay off her student loan. I counsel her not to despair. There are options.

Obamacare was signed into law just 3½ years ago. It is still being adjusted by President Barack Obama, and it's way too early to know its final form. Be patient. It does appear, however, that low income people will receive assistance up to 100 percent. Throw in free lifetime abortion insurance, and you can't beat it with a stick.

Concerning the student loan, these too can be renegotiated with Uncle Sam to reduce payments and string them out almost indefinitely. Eventually, you'll probably get a decent job. Until then, face it; you're pretty much a ward of the state pretending to be American, but living like an East German circa 1960.
