I hear and see many well-educated, well-spoken and well-meaning young people talk a big game about what is wrong with our country and what should be done about it. Television and print journalists, academic types, political activists and celebrities, all lacking much real life experience, confuse this for actually doing something about it.

I am reminded of a poster I saw long ago in my boss's office: "Some people talk about what's happening. Some people wonder what's happening. And some people make things happen."

We need fewer talkers and more doers. Those in need of help and our society in general would be far better off.
