Overspending, over-regulation eroded nation's greatness

I recently watched a program about the last moon landing. I remember the pride Americans had in our country while we led the world in science, technology, civil rights, medicine, autos, energy, standard of living and freedom.

I am saddened by the deterioration of all these things because of politicians who have changed our society by overspending and over-regulation of every aspect of our lives and economy.

They exempt themselves and government workers from many laws and regulations they impose on the common people. They would rather be politically correct than do the right thing. They blame everyone but themselves for our country's problems. Don't they understand it's all their fault?

What was once the greatest society the world has ever known has been reduced to a pitiful ghost of its past greatness. It's sad that future generations will never witness the greatness that was once the United States.
