As I read some of the comments, I have come to the conclusion that many do not want the government in their religion but they are more than willing to inject their religion into government (lobbyists and politics in general).

The letter from Patricia Van Gennep is a prime example, although I'm not sure I totally agree with her analogy.

It is amazing what people who watched both national conventions want to talk or share their opinions about. Some are more interested in an empty chair or the language used to include God, than what is actually being "planked" as to what our future will be.

Hopefully, we will all pay attention to facts and vote responsibly Nov. 6.
