Political games are hurting Hoosier education

After duly electing Glenda Ritz in a general election by the population of Indiana, Gov. Pence has proceeded to embarrass us on the national stage. A coup led by Daniel Elsener has decided to take the ball and go home.

Grow up.

Further, the appointed board clearly has seven Republicans in violation of state statute. The end-run orchestrated by the Governor is a spiteful late-reaction to the fate of Mr. Bennet, who clearly modified grades of schools to appease what I would assume are donors to the Republican Party. If he wasn't guilty, why resign in Florida?

Education in this state is in disarray and needs to be addressed. Playing political games with this only hurts the children in our state and reflects poorly on the national stage. Get your heads out of the sand. Stop subverting the political process, and do the job!
