Our President adamantly claims that we do not have a spending problem in this country, yet he refuses to give federal employees a cost-of-living increase or ask the Senate to do their job and work on the federal budget, which the House of Representatives has passed and is waiting on any action from Senate Leader Harry Reid. It seems somewhat hypocritical.
He has, however, signed off on an increase of one-half of 1 percent for federal employees -- which amounts to less than $30 per month before increasing taxes and insurance premiums -- for most federal workers.
It seems that federal employees continue to take the blame for congressional actions driving this nation into bankruptcy. Under President Obama's watch, our debt has quadrupled. That is the definition of hypocrisy.
