This is in response to Heather Augustyn's article about the Quilt of Honor. I wish she had stayed just a few minutes longer. I did read the entire list of William Herr's accomplishments and medals after a very brief pause, during which time I reconsidered and didn't want them omitted.

He is a very accomplished soldier and deserved not only the Quilt of Honor but also the ceremony and the recognition.

Not only that, but everyone who met him and his family got to know what a nice man he is and his family as well.

I was proud to introduce him and proud to be a part of the American Legion, SAL and Auxiliary, as well as our Junior SAL and Junior Auxiliary.

We also are the proud sponsors of the Oratorical Contest and many other annual events. Stop in and see if you are eligible to join and participate in our work.

We all loved the article. Great job.
