One day after Hurricane Katrina a vacationing Republican President George W. Bush attends a Veterans Day celebration in California as people die in Louisiana while waiting for help.

One day after Hurricane Sandy, Democratic President Barack Obama, in the race of his life, suspends all political activity to tour the devastation with an outspoken Romney supporter Republican New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. Christie said, "I cannot thank the president enough for his personal concern and compassion for our state and the people of our state."

Republicans believe in small government and every man for himself. Democrats believe in helping and compassion.
