The GOP has been hijacked by the extremism of the Tea Party. The election will not be determined by the regular Republicans but by the Michelle Bachmanns, Sarah Palins and the Paul Ryans - those whom Bill Moyer called The Apocalytic Cult. They have no plans except nostalgia for the past.

They will lose because they have nominated the wrong candidate who cannot relate to the average American.

Hope is always stronger than fear. Louis Brandeis once said, "We may have democracy, or we may have wealth concentrated in the hands of a few, but we can't have both." Wall Street has captured Washington.

Mitt Romney represents wealth. He is now planning his fourth home, a $12 million villa in LaJolla, Calif., which will be torn down and replaced with a home four times larger. He cannot comprehend what it is to live on $35,000 for a family of four.

It is time to put our energy and brains to focus on the common good as the greatest generation -- namely, the Founding Fathers -- did.
