Romney changes tune on Americans in poverty

Mitt Romney seems to be going through a transformation like that of Charles Dickens' Scrooge, when visited by the three Spirits of Christmas. Only in this case, it might be the three presidential debates that are getting to him.

Last winter, deep in primary season, Romney announced he is “not concerned” about the very poor. “We have a safety net there. If it needs repair, I'll fix it," he told CNN.

Then came the revelation that he isn't concerned about the 47 percent of Americans who support Obama, either. But having been visited by the Spirit of the Debate Just Past, Romney indicated a change of heart. He rejected his 47 percent comments as "wrong" and announced he is now for 100 percent of Americans.

Two more debates to go! And if we the voters fall for it, we will all be getting a turkey for Inauguration Day.
