Roy Dominguez, who is running for Lake County commissioner, is crying foul. The Democratic Party will not be endorsing Dominguez or, for that matter, 11 other Democratic candidates who stand in the way of incumbent officeholders.

Like it or not, the Democratic Party installed a party rule in 2009 (keep in mind that was three years ago ) favoring incumbents over challengers. Now for some reason Dominguez acts like he didn't know about this party rule.

We need someone who will be a county commissioner 24/7, like Gerry Scheub.

I think the people of Lake County remember Dominguez spending a lot of time going up and down the state trying to drum up support so he could run for governor. When the people elect you to a four-year term, that is what they want.

We have too many part timers on the county payroll, it's time we weed them out. Remember you get who you vote for.
