Shame on INDOT for poor signage near work zone

The Indiana Department of Transportation should bear criminal liability for the seven deaths that occurred Aug. 15 on northbound I-65.

I got caught in this mess exactly a week previous to this. After notice of potential road work 20 miles earlier and no other notice of lane closure or signs of construction taking place, I passed the rise over Ind. 2 and slammed directly into stopped traffic.

This location is notorious for serious accidents, and the fact that IDOT was so cavalier about signage and notification, especially at night when construction is not expected, is downright insulting and now has resulted in seven deaths.

Shame on the people making these decisions, and rest in peace to this family.
