Show more care for humans than for animals

So noble the concern for the safety of the long-eared bat and the sheep-nosed whatever in the face of the coming construction of the Illiana Expressway.

We can only wish that such noble concern would be directed toward the fate of living unborn humans and — as Obamacare takes effect — the destiny of our senior adults in the face of the coming right-to-live death panels.

How ignoble we have become!
