South Central's 50-year reunion game was enjoyable

February 08, 2012 12:00 am

As a proud South Central High School graduate, I would like to thank Athletic Director Chad Haschel and his entire staff for hosting the 50-year reunion game. From reuniting with coaches Ron Clindaniel and Mike Kegebein, to visiting with teammates and cheerleaders, the evening was very enjoyable for all.

The statistical record book, consisting of more than 40 pages, gives every game score, points scored for every player in school history and school records versus opponents. The effort put forth to accumulate this data and assemble it is much appreciated.

The only thing that could have made the evening better for me was if George Fettinger and John Dunk were still alive to have been honored.

I also appreciate the story by Times sportswriter Jim Hunsley, also an SC graduate, before the reunion.
